Interviews

Recording an interview is the simplest way to start collecting your life stories. I’ll bring the voice recorder and some questions to get us started; you bring the memories. Afterwards, I’ll transcribe the interview, polish and format it, and send it back to you in a document you can share.

Some people want to write a book. They have a lot to say. And that’s really exciting. So if that’s you, I can help you write the book, edit it, design it and get it printed.

But you might be thinking, I can’t really be bothered with all that. I just want to get a few things down, a few key facts about my life and what I’ve done. And one of the easiest ways to do that is actually with an interview. I can make a time to meet with you, bring along my tape recorder – my phone, and a list of questions, and sit down and do an interview with you about your life. Now we can talk about anything you like. You might want to start by focusing on your childhood, for example, or you may prefer to record your memories about your working life. Whatever you like. And then I’ll go home, get the interview transcribed, tidy it up, make sure you sound really intelligent if you’re not already, format it all nicely into a Word document, and send it back to you. Simple.
